Terms of Use

Last Updated: 9 September 2026

By using the TREDA complaint management service, including its WhatsApp-based services, you agree to use the service lawfully and responsibly.

1. Purpose of the service

The service enables citizens and other users to submit complaints or service requests to Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA), receive acknowledgements and, where enabled, receive status or other service notifications.

2. Acceptable use

You must provide information honestly and must not knowingly submit false, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, defamatory, malicious or unlawful content. Do not impersonate another person or attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the service.

3. Complaint information

Users should provide sufficient and accurate information to enable the appropriate authority to understand and process a complaint. Do not submit passwords, financial credentials, authentication codes or other information that is not necessary for the complaint.

4. WhatsApp communications

Where WhatsApp is used, messages may be sent or received through WhatsApp's infrastructure and may be subject to WhatsApp's own terms and policies. Users are responsible for maintaining access to their own mobile/WhatsApp account.

5. AI-assisted functionality

The service may use AI-assisted tools to classify, summarise, prioritise or route complaints. AI-generated classifications or suggestions may require review by authorised personnel. Users should not treat an automated response as a final legal, technical or administrative determination unless expressly communicated by the competent authority.

6. Availability

TREDA aims to keep the service available and reliable but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, technical failures, connectivity problems, third-party service interruptions or circumstances beyond reasonable control may affect availability.

7. No guarantee of outcome

Submission of a complaint does not guarantee a particular outcome, approval, compensation, service or decision. Complaints are handled according to applicable government procedures, eligibility requirements and the facts of each matter.

8. Privacy

Use of the service is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled.

9. Intellectual property

Content, branding and materials provided by TREDA or its authorised service providers may be protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Users must not reproduce, modify or misuse protected materials except as permitted by law or with appropriate permission.

10. Suspension or restriction

Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate misuse, comply with law or protect users and government systems.

11. Applicable law

Use of the service is subject to applicable laws, rules, regulations and government procedures in force in India and the applicable jurisdiction.

12. Contact

For technical, privacy or data-related matters, contact [email protected].

13. Changes

These Terms may be updated when the service or applicable requirements change. Continued use after publication of an updated version constitutes acceptance of the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.
